When I cook, I go all out. There is no such thing for me as having friends over and making frozen pizza (heaven forbid!). For Valentine’s Day I made J vanilla cupcakes with salted caramel hearts and chocolate icing. I used this recipe but replaced milk chocolate for dark chocolate for the icing and simply added a spoon of my salted caramel before baking in the middle of each cupcake instead of the berries in the other recipe.
J is French and I’m Australian so the frog and koala seemed so appropriate. And funny!
What did you do for Valentine’s Day?

And that photostrip, AH!
That’s so cute! I was going to make cupcakes today but decided to almost freeze to death during a stroll in Montmartre instead…
Have a nice weekend!
Hello! Thanks for your message it’s lovely to hear from you. Isn’t it freezing?! I can’t believe how cold it’s been.
What did you see in Montmartre? x
Too yummy your cupcakes!! Well, Valentine’s was very nice here in Munich. I had my Parisian partner over in Munich and we prepared a French culinary treat (melted Mont d’Or cheese with white wine and cooked potatoes) and watched a French movie (La Délicatesse with Audrey Tautou). Voilà!
Awww that’s so sweet! I think it’s important to spoil ones loved one even though it’s a hallmark created event, who cares, it’s all about love! Your meal sounds delicious
Geez that looks so good! And I agree that Valentine’s day is still a good opportunity to remember why you’re in a relationship in the first place (true love for each other!). And because those little hearts made out of chemicals are just so damn good!
