When I was 16 I lived in Berlin for a year. I was lucky to be given this chance and I now speak German and know the culture well. Berlin is such a diverse place where lots of things are going on. What really attracts me to Berlin the most is the organic movement. Compared to the French, they are very very advanced in all that is organic and it’s still affordable. What’s more, their coffee is similar to Melbourne coffee. Wonderful lattés, and they know how to do the milk (heat it and froth it for the perfect latté! om nom nom). I was thrilled to get back.
If you want a great coffee in Berlin try The Barn.
Here are some photos of my first day in Berlin. Enjoy!

Have you seen these photos of Meg and her love Louis by Jean Laurent Gaudy?

You tried the currywurst? All my students from Berlin rave about it, but I can’t help finding the idea too bizarre to try! :p
I did
It’s such a Berlin thing, I had to. I’ve had it years ago, but had to try it again for old times sake. It is quite strange and I do prefer many other aspects of Berlin like the organic scene and their good coffee
